How to Watch IPTV on VLC Media Player
VLC is the quickest way to check your IPTV Trends line on Windows, Mac, Android or iOS. Open your M3U link and your channel list plays straight away.
- 3 min
- Easy
- VLC Media Player
- M3U link
Before you start
- Your IPTV Trends login from the activation email (free trial or paid plan)
- Your VLC connected to the internet
- At least 10 Mbps for HD streams, 25 Mbps for 4K
Step-by-step setup
Step 1: Install VLC
Download VLC for free from videolan.org, or from your phone's app store.
Step 2: Open your M3U link
Paste your M3U link into VLC's network stream option and press Play.
- Windows: Media → Open Network Stream
- Mac: File → Open Network
- Android / iOS: Network stream → paste the link
Your login arrives by email the moment you subscribe or start your free trial: Server URL, Username, Password and your M3U playlist link. Can't find it? Check spam, or open a support ticket and we'll resend it.
Step 3: Browse channels
Open the playlist (Ctrl+L on Windows, ⌘+Shift+L on Mac) to see every channel and switch between them.
Step 4: Full screen
Press F for full screen. For a full TV guide, use IPTV Smarters or TiviMate instead.
Troubleshooting
Paste the whole link into Open Network Stream (not Open File) and check there are no spaces at the start or end.
That's normal: VLC starts with the first channel. Open the playlist panel to pick another one.
